Friends of St Margaret’s SCIO is run by a Board of Trustees who hold regular meetings, and generally control the activities of the organisation; for example, the board is responsible for monitoring and controlling the financial position of the organisation.
The organisation’s purpose is to advance health by receiving and raising funds to promote and aid the welfare of:
- Patients treated at St Margaret’s Hospital
- Patients treated at St Margaret’s Health Centre
- Patients treated in the Community of Auchterarder and District
- The Community of Auchterarder and District
The Board consists of
- One practicing or retired general practitioner
- One member of the nursing staff with clinical responsibility for beds in St Margaret’s Hospital
- One member of staff from St Margaret’s Health Centre
- At least three (3) but no more than ten (10) members of the community of
Auchterarder and District.
Auchterarder and District for the organisations purposes is defined as the area bounded by the settlements at Greenloaning, Muthill, Forgandenny and Glendevon. The interpretation of the limits of these boundaries will be at the discretion of the trustees of the organisation.
