Registrar in General Practice
The practice usually has a GP registrar who is a fully qualified doctor (usually with several years’ hospital training) now gaining further experience in the field of general practice.
At times you may be introduced to medical students who are training at Dundee University. They are gaining experience under the direction of a partner in the practice. On your arrival at the health centre you will be advised by the receptionist if the doctor has a student present. If you have any objection to their being involved with your care, you have only to tell the doctor or the receptionist.
